​V aka Valvin Roane II, a South New Jersey native, has set a solid foundation on the music scene as a solo artist. V has worked on projects with a host of renowned artists and producers in the music industry, including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jill Scott, Will Smith, Silk, Justin Timberlake, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Heather Headley, The Roots, Common, J. Cole, Jerimih,... the List goes on and on.

V's talents in the Soul and R&B genres, songwriting, singing and producing has gained him comparisons to such talents as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Donny Hathaway.

V joined DJ Jazzy Jeff on a worldwide tour, performing a medley of House Music tunes, collaborating with Masters at Work’s duo Kenny Dope & Louie Vega. He has performed at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, headlining at the Opium Garden with his top House hit "In Time".  V entered the hearts of House music lovers with the broken beat hit “I Got Rhythm” and in 2005,  also did a house record with Papa Records called "One Chance" by The Realm and V.

 

V​ has lit up the music scenes worldwide. Los Angeles to Atlantic City, and everywhere in between, including performing in South Africa, Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada and the U.K. You may have enjoyed his break out performances as background vocals for Jill Scott on her “Beautifully Human” tour. He has also traveled the globe with Jill on her "The Real Thing", "Light of the Sun"  and  "Jill Scott Block Party" tours. Also the "Sugar Water" tour with Queen Latifah & Eryka Badu.

V also joined Jill’s and her Band on television shows such as "The View", "Regis and Kelly", "The Ellen Show", "Jimmy Kimmel", "The Tyler Perry Show","The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Dave Chappelle's Block Party".
